Biography
Amara trained as a physician in Nairobi before spending a decade working in rural district hospitals. She saw expectant mothers travel for hours to reach basic screening — and many never arrived.
In response, she founded a network of mobile clinics staffed by trained community health workers, connected to regional doctors through simple, low-bandwidth tools.
